Emergency Department Expansion and Modernization

The Emergency Department at St. John’s Regional Medical Center is the busiest in Ventura County, caring for up to 200 patients in an 8 hour period.

To address this increase in current volume, and a greater anticipated need for future resources, St. John’s is expanding the size of our Emergency Department, to include:

  • 26 Exam Rooms (1 Bariatric)
  • 3 Private Triage Rooms
  • 3 Trauma Bays
  • 2 Mental Health Observation Areas
  • New X-Ray
  • Bereavement and quiet space
  • Lavatories
  • 3 new Nursing Stations
